Out with the old, In with the Raw...
Food that is.
Brace yourselves. I am becoming a raw foodist.
Well, not really, but I’ve taking raw food cooking classes. Not something I would’ve taken on my own, but I have this friend…You know…the kind of friend who DIVES into everything they take on until they move on to the next thing to DIVE into. The friend who doesn’t just decide to go to law school, but becomes valedictorian of her graduating class, becoming a lawyer, only to discover yoga and get trained by Bikhram himself and open her own yoga studio, only to sell it and become a successful mortgage banker and end up marrying a VP of a very well known company and I cold go on…Needless to say, this fried has decided to go raw, and while I’m a little cynical about trendy diets and lifestyles and such, I am very open minded, especially to ideologies that promote health and peace, and heck, what could be soooo bad about eating raw fruits and veggies? So last night, I had my first raw food cooking lesson (courtesy of aforementioned friend, who is paying well for private lessons and has invited me to intrude, er, join in on). And you know what? It’s not so bad! Granted, I’m definitely a gal who loves her meat, but heck, I can eat a raw meal now and again. And according to our new chef/cooking teacher, even supplementing a meal or two can make a huge difference. So thus far I have learned to cook (I mean prepare) a tasty oatmeal dish, an apple sunflower cream and a tomato basil soup, which are not all that bad if you ask me. Of course tonight I made my husband and I chicken fajitas and beans, but hey, I’m taking classes from a vegan raw foodist and I’ sure that should transmute somehow.
Doesn’t it?

well i, for one, applaud your efforts, and admire you for keeping an open mind -- even as you shut the oven door on your next batch of muffins.
lucky you for having such a generous (altho' don't ya just want to slap her once in awhile for being so "together"?) friend! i'm sure your new husband is happy about the potential new "diet", too! xox
A "raw food cooking class" sounds like stone soup to me.
Raw meat is good.
I have no doubt that when Aurelia is engaged, people will saythat she is a most admirable girl, certainly; but beim ersten fick they cannotunderstand why any man should be in love with her.In truth, I have observed, down town, that the dessous panty pics fact of your ancestorsdoing nothing is not considered good proof that you can do anything. She hadfrequently read it in anger, page after page, without amateure ficken knowing what wascontained in the lines.Had the card been in his possession, he would,at that instant, have laid it on Aunt Missouri without marksbookmark a qualm.
I just hope that the instructor was soemthign sweet to look at :)
Have you tried any of the links in the spam comment? Frigthening stuff!
On second thought, don´t click them. I am not familiar with your level of purity...
Hi, long time no comment from me, I confess.......raw sounds good to me---despite living in New Jersey, I always prefer the tastes of California.
There are no known hunter-gatherer societies that did not use fire to cook their food, and there is considerable evidence that a completely "raw" diet is incompatable with health.

People eating a raw diet and "hunting and gathering" from a grocery store are unable to maintain weight and health.

I enjoy raw foods. I just have to re-define the word "raw" first. I had raw pop tarts the other day...freshly picked. Mmmm.
Raw tacos? Well, that's taking it too far. Raw waffles? There we go.
I don't know what I'm talking about. But the tomato basil soup sounds quite nice. Purr.
