Yes we Can!

On paper, I make the perfect Hillary Clinton supporter. A self-proclaimed feninist married to a Latino who has been dreaming of a female president for as long as I can remember. But that, of course is on paper. In reality I have been dissapointed with Hillary's secrecy and sameness and despite the fact that I have voted in every election since turning eighteen, this is the first time I am truly inspired and passionate about a presedential candidate. Obama represents what I want for our country's future. What I want for the future of my four month old daughter, who like Obama is of mixed descent, yet more importantly an American.

Obama is a uniter while Clinton is polorizing. Obama brings hope, while the Clintons (ah, yes, Clinton'S) promote fear. Obama may have not have the same experience (thank GOD), but he had the sense not to support a misrepresented war that has only promoted more hate and anger toward our country. I am not impressed by experience because experience to me means more of the same. I AM however impressed by the integrity, vision and leadership that Barack Obama has demonstrated to me, a discerning, independant feminist working mother.

I urge you Mr. or Mrs. SUPER delegate to consider the idea that our country is wanting, seeking, needing change. This is a pivotal time in our nation's history...A time where we can revert to what we are used to...secrecy and superficial change AKA "Politics as Usual", or something new, inspiring, real. I am looking to have my faith in this country restored. I am urging you as an intelligent influential citizen to recognie that NOW is the time to help our country remember how it feels to HOPE. I urge you to recognize that Barack Obama is the man who can bring this HOPE to our country.
