Songs of the day...

One of my problems with the Jett is that it’s electric system often malfunctioned, causing the alarm to go off spontaneously and the radio to malfunction (I think the Jett was angry with me). Needless to say, I had stopped listening to the radio and turned to entertaining myself by talking to myself and singing out loud. However when the Civic came into my life, I decided once again to listen to the radio. I mostly listen to NPR, but there are times that I simply don’t feel like thinking all that much so I will listen to music. As I flipped through the music stations the other day, I realized that the most of the music out there right now is indeed still crap (sorry, but it is)…oh wait, gotta go, American Idol is about to start!

hey, yesterday night I stayed up to watch some American Idol. Yes...they show it in Europe :)
Well, they show it a couple of days later here, but still! I saw the twelve guys singing. Icelandic Idol doesn´t reach the same level of talent though!
And yes, music out there today is unfourtunately so controlled by the appearance rather than actual singing voice. I think improved technology and MTV are to blame :)

Monika, you mean they have Icelandic idol? I would never have know. I also blame marketing and commercialism.

Sal, Paris is such a cutie and a wonderful talent! I haven't seen much of the guys, but will look out for Chris.

Kristina, thanks for the heads up. I will indeed root for Kevin now that I know that

I've had two Jettas and loved them both. The molding on the doors of my first Jetta kept falling off though and Volkswagen always pretended like I was the first person to ever complain (I wasn't - my friend had the exact same problem with her Jetta).

I, too, watch American Idol faithfully and will tape it if ever I'm not at home. My mom wishes she was 30 years younger (she has a huge crush on Ace!).

Wendy, the molding thing happend to mine and my sisters Jetta too...in fact every problem my Jetta had, my sisters jetta had as well...coincidence? I don't think so...needless to say my sister and I no longer own VW's an probably never will. Too bad. They are quite adorable!
